Analisis Pelatihan Sumber Daya Manusia pada Wisata Edukasi Dunia Gerabah Blitar

Abstract

This study aims to identify the need for human resource training at the site Wisata Edukasi Dunia Gerabah. As a local culture-based educational tourism destination that empowers the surrounding community to serve as tour guides and pottery artisans, the site requires training to support employee competence in delivering services to visitors. This study employs a qualitative research design with a study case. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis utilized domain and taxonomic analysis, while data validity was verified through source triangulation. The informants were selected by purposive.The results indicate that the human resource training encompassed several dimensions: training content, training methods, instructor attitude, training duration, and training facilities. The training content covered potterymaking skills, visitor communication, educational tourism service delivery, and product packaging processes. Training was conducted through on-the-job training, direct mentoring, demonstrations, practical exercises, and knowledge sharing by the business owner. Although the training enhanced employee competence in supporting educational tourism activities, its implementation remained informal and lacked standardized, documented procedures; therefore, the development of a more structured training system is still required
