Abstract
This research aims to identify and analyze the dynamics of leadership
styles implemented at Musikami Music School, an educational institution located
in Banyuwangi Regency. The primary focus of this study is how Musikami's leaders
adopt and blend various leadership styles in managing the institution. This research
uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, where data is collected
through in-depth interviews with leaders, teaching staff, and students, as well as
observations of daily activities and document analysis.
The findings reveal that Musikami's leaders effectively combine elements
of transformational leadership, such as inspirational motivation, intellectual
stimulation, and individual consideration, which directly contribute to increased
staff motivation and performance. Additionally, the study finds that the leaders'
ability to adapt and be flexible in applying various leadership styles is crucial in
addressing external challenges, such as curriculum changes and technological
advancements. The application of these adaptive leadership styles also plays a role
in creating a work environment that supports innovation and human resource
development, ultimately contributing to the institution's overall success.
In conclusion, the results of this study indicate that Musikami Music
School's success in facing modern educational challenges is closely linked to the
application of adaptive and responsive leadership styles to meet evolving needs and
changes. This research provides important insights into the strategic role of
leadership styles in the educational context, particularly in the field of music, and
offers practical insights for other educational leaders.
