dc.description.abstractThe rapid development of information technology has become a key driver in the digital transformation of the tourism sector, particularly for village-based tourism that aims to improve information accessibility and promotion. Desa Wisata Adat Arjasa in Jember Regency possesses strong cultural and tourism potential; however, information management was previously fragmented and not well integrated. This research aims to design and develop a web-based information system for Desa Wisata Adat Arjasa by applying the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method combined with a Modular Monolith Architecture using the Laravel framework. The RAD method was selected to accommodate dynamic and evolving user requirements through iterative prototyping and intensive user involvement, while the Modular Monolith Architecture was implemented to maintain code structure, modularity, and long-term maintainability. The system was divided into functional modules, including destination management, tour packages, and cultural galleries, each with clearly defined responsibilities within a single deployment unit. Laravel was utilized due to its strong support for modular design through service providers and package-based structures. The effectiveness of the proposed architecture was evaluated using Static Code Analysis to measure architectural quality metrics such as coupling, cohesion, and maintainability. The results indicate that the Modular Monolith Architecture significantly reduces inter-module coupling and improves code organization compared to a traditional monolithic structure. Additionally, functional validation was conducted using Black Box Testing after deploying the system to a production environment, demonstrating that all core features operate as expected. This research concludes that the integration of RAD and Modular Monolith Architecture successfully produces a web-based village tourism information system that is adaptable, maintainable, and scalable, making it suitable for long-term development and future feature expansion.
