Pengaruh Tepung Cangkang Telur Ayam dan Pupuk BRE4 Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Sawi Hijau (Brassica Juncea L.) Serta Pemanfaatannya Sebagai Leaflet

Abstract

Green mustard is a horticultural crop that is beneficial for health due to its high nutrients. It also possesses economic value, making it highly in demand. However, green mustard production often declines due to soil nutrient deficiencies. Therefore, the application of eggshell powder combined with BRE4 fertilizer is expected to enhance the growth and productivity of green mustard. This study aims to analyze the effect of eggshell powder and BRE4 fertilizer on the growth and yield of green mustard (Brassica juncea L.), with the research findings subsequently interpreted in the form of a leaflet as an information source. This research utilized a completely randomized factorial design with two treatment factors. The first factor was the dose of eggshell powder, consisting of four levels: T0 (0 g/polybag), T1 (15 g/polybag), T2 (20 g/polybag), and T3 (25 g/polybag). The second factor was the concentration of BRE4 fertilizer, consisting of four levels: BO (0 ml/L), B1 (10 ml/L), B2 (15 ml/L), and B3 (20 ml/L). The observed variables included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight, production weight, growth rate, harvest index, and abiotic factors. Data analysis was performed using ANOVA, followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of eggshell powder and BRE4 fertilizer had a significant effect on the growth and production parameters of green mustard. The best results were obtained from the combination of 25 g/polybag of eggshell powder and 15 ml/L of BRE4 fertilizer, this combination improved plant growth and yield compared to other treatments. The research results were compiled into a leaflet, which was evaluated by three validators and categorized as suitable for use as an effective as information medium.
