Pengaruh Beban Kerja dan Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada Bank Mandiri Taspen Jember

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and work motivation on employee performance at Bank Mandiri Taspen Jember Branch. The research employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design. The population consisted of all 30 employees of Bank Mandiri Taspen Jember Branch; therefore, a saturated sampling technique was applied. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale. Prior to analysis, the research instruments were tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 30. The findings indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In contrast, work motivation does not have a significant partial effect on employee performance. However, workload and work motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.360 indicates that 36% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by workload and work motivation, while the remaining 64% is influenced by other variables outside the research model. These findings suggest that proportional workload management, supported by efforts to enhance employee motivation, can jointly contribute to improving employee performance at Bank Mandiri Taspen Jember Branch.
