R. Soedarsono. Intervensi Slow Stroke Back Massage menggunakan minyak serai diberikan selama 15 menit selama tiga hari berturut-turut. Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) with lemongrass oil is a nonpharmacological intervention to reduce acute pain and blood pressure Objective: To describe the implementation of acute pain nursing care in hypertensive patients through the administration of Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy using lemongrass oil at Dr. R. Soedarsono General Hospital. Methods: This study used a descriptive design with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation. The Slow Stroke Back Massage intervention using lemongrass oil was administered for 15 minutes over three consecutive days. Pain was evaluated using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis was performed narratively. Results: The pain score decreased from 6 to 3, blood pressure from 160/120 mmHg to 130/95 mmHg, and pulse rate from 114 to 88 beats per minute. Analysis: SSBM with lemongrass oil effectively reduces acute pain through parasympathetic nerve stimulation, endorphin release, vasodilation, and the synergistic effects of eugenol. Conclusion: Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy can help reduce acute pain in patients with hypertension. Keywords: Nursing care, Hypertension, lemongrass oil, acute pain, Slow Stroke Back Massage | |
