| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the low level of students’ conceptual understanding of states of matter and their changes, which was caused by learning activities that still relied heavily on textbooks and lacked meaningful and contextual learning experiences. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a valid, practical, and effective Project Based Learning (PjBL) e-module integrated with an eco-enzyme project to improve fourth-grade students’ conceptual understanding of states of matter and their changes. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year involving 28 fourth-grade students of SDN Kranjingan 03 Jember. Data were collected through expert validation and empirical validation of the e-module and test instruments using the Product Validity (Valpro) formula, questionnaires on teacher and student responses analyzed using the Actual Score Scale (SAS), and pretest-posttest assessments analyzed using the N-gain formula to determine the effectiveness of the e-module. The results indicated that the PjBL-based eco-enzyme e-module achieved a validity score of 90, categorized as very valid. The practicality of the e-module was demonstrated by student response scores of 97.92 and teacher response scores of 95.42, both categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of the e-module was reflected in the improvement of students’ conceptual understanding, with an average pretest score of 48.93 and an average posttest score of 86.07. The N-gain score of 0.72 indicated a high category, demonstrating that the e-module was effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding. Therefore, the PjBL-based eco-enzyme e-module is feasible to be used as an alternative learning resource in elementary science education. Keywords: conceptual understanding, eco-enzyme, e-module, Project Based Learning (PjBL). | |
