Pengembangan Media Pop Up Book Berbasis Lingkungan Sekitar pada Pembelajaran IPAS Bab 5 Cerita Tentang Daerahku sebagai Penguat Profil Pelajar Pancasila Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This research was motivated by the limited use of learning media in IPAS learning, which caused students to be less active in the learning process and less familiar with the potential of their local area. This study aimed to develop an environment-based Pop up book learning media and determine its feasibility, practicality, effectiveness, and contribution to strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile of fourth-grade elementary school students. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall model simplified into eight stages. The research subjects consisted of fourth-grade students of SDN Wonosari 01 as the experimental class and fourth-grade students of SDN Bangsalsari 02 as the control class. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and learning achievement tests.

The results showed that the environment-based Pop up book obtained a validity score of 85%, categorized as highly feasible. The practicality level based on students’ responses reached 84.70%, categorized as very practical. The Independent Sample t-Test produced a t-value of 2.99, indicating that the media was effective in learning activities. The Effect Size (ER) was 48.35%, categorized as moderately effective. The strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile achieved a score of 81.25%, categorized as very good. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the environment-based Pop up book meets the criteria of being highly feasible, very practical, and moderately effective, making it suitable for use in fourth-grade IPAS learning.
