Abstract
Introduction: HIV/AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease whose cases are still increasing in Indonesia and requires an appropriate prevention program, one of which is the KTHIV. However, the use of KTHIV still has many obstacles including stigma so that it has not been implemented optimally. This study aimed to examine whether there is a relationship between stigma and the use of KTHIV services at the Silo 2 Jember Community Health Center. Method: This study used a quantitative correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 188 respondents were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using the Indonesian HIV Stigma Scale (InHSS-9) questionnaire and data analysis was carried out using the Spearman correlation test. Results: This study showed that 67% of respondents were at a high level of stigma and 62.8% of respondents only used KTHIV services once. The correlation analysis showed significant results with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The correlation coefficient (r) of -0.536 indicates a moderate and negative relationship. Conclusion: People with lower levels of stigma tended to utilize KTHIV services more than once, whereas those with higher levels of stigma utilized them less frequently. In contrast pregnant women demonstrated high stigma but still utilized KTHIV services more than once, this indicated that services utilization was influenced not only by stigma but also by recomendations from healthcare workers and the existence of mandatory health programs.
