| dc.description.abstract | Changes in catchment areas can increase runoff rates and cause inundation problems leading to flooding. Tegal Besar Permai II Housing is one of the areas experiencing inundation at certain points based on field observations. The drainage system in Tegal Besar Permai II Housing can cause inundation or flooding due to several factors, namely sediment deposition, rainwater discharge exceeding channel capacity, and overflow from the river surrounding the housing complex. Optimization of urban drainage systems is necessary to address the problems occurring in Tegal Besar Permai II Housing through the application of Low Impact Development (LID) Bioretention. This research employs Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) modeling. Through this research, an alternative solution to the housing complex's inundation problems was obtained. The simulation used a 2-year return period with a maximum design rainfall of 80,469 mm, which was simulated in SWMM to assess the performance of the drainage channels in the housing complex. The actual results indicate that there are channels experiencing overflow and inundation, consistent with the observational data. The application of bioretention is considered capable of reducing runoff volume and discharge, with a peak runoff reduction of 18,6% and a total runoff reduction of 29,7%, thereby optimizing the drainage system. The zero delta runoff approach in several of the 15 subcatchments was able to achieve a maximum reduction of 100%, but was not fully reduced at the outlet. The reduction at the outlet ranged from 0% to 57%. | |
