Abstract
SMA Negeri 2 Tanggul has implemented the use of technology-based learning media, one of which is PowerPoint. However, the phenomenon that occurs in the field is that students feel bored quickly when applying this learning media. Based on the problems that occurred, researchers developed Android-based game learning media with the RPG Maker Platform to overcome these problems. However, before developing media, it is necessary to analyze the characteristics, school facilities and infrastructure, as well as material characteristics that can be applied to the media. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, students feel bored quickly if they use media that is too monotonous, and the material used is economic concepts because it has quite a lot of material content and the characteristics of the material are literacy. Android-based game learning media with the RPG Maker platform, allows all material characteristics to be facilitated by the features contained in it. The development model used in this research uses the Four-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). However, this research is limited to the development stage because this research is only limited to producing products in the form of Android-based game learning media with the RPG Maker platform. Based on the results of the feasibility validation test in terms of material and design and attractiveness aspects that have been carried out, the Android-based game learning media with the RPG Maker platform as a whole is declared very feasible and very interesting to use in overcoming problems or obstacles that occur in the economics learning process in class X-H SMA Negeri 2 Tanggul.
