Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology brings significant innovations in various aspects of life, including education. Game-Based Learning emerges as a learning innovation that attracts attention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Game-Based Learning Minecraft on digestive system material on learning interest and concept understanding of high school students. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri Jenggawah on November 11, 2024 with the population of class XI and using 2 class samples, namely XI-3 as the control class and XI-5 as the experimental class. Data collection methods were carried out in two ways, namely using Pretest and Posttest in the form of tests and questionnaires. Then the two data were analyzed using the prerequisite test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Levene's Test Variance test and ANAKOVA test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of using GBL Minecraft on learning interest (F = 10.194 & p = 0.002) and concept understanding of high school students (F = 8.569 & p = 0.005), (p = <0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Game-Based Learning Minecraft on digestive system material on high school students' interest in learning and understanding of concepts.
