Perbaikan Subgrade Tanah Lunak Dengan Bahan Serbuk Pengikat Berdasarkan Pedoman Dpu-Ditjen Bina Marga Tahun 2007 (Studi Kasus:Desa Tamansari Kabupaten Probolinggo)

Abstract

Taman Sari Village has soil that is classified as highly susceptible to shrinkage and swelling. This is evidenced by a road that is cracked and sinking due to poor subgrade. The soil must be repaired to improve its properties. Efforts to address this problem include soil stabilization. This soil stabilization method uses chemical stabilization by mixing lime with the soil as a stabilizer. This study used varying lime mixtures (6%, 8%, and 10%) to analyze changes after mixing with the soil by testing the soil's physical and mechanical properties. Tests included water content, bulk density, specific gravity, sieve analysis, plasticity index, compaction, soaked CBR, and unconfined compressive strength. The results showed that adding lime increased the soil's specific gravity and decreased the plasticity index and swelling potential. The strength of the subgrade increased with increasing lime content. This study concluded that lime as a stabilizer is effective in improving clay soil with high shrinkage and swelling potential and is a solution for soil improvement in Taman Sari Village.
