Keanekaragaman Nematoda pada Lahan Padi (Oryza sativa l.) Var. Membramo dan Inpari-32 di Kabupaten Probolinggo serta Pemanfaatannya sebagai Booklet

Abstract

Rice fields cultivated with Membramo and Inpari-32 varieties in Probolinggo Regency have different crop characteristics that may influence soil biological conditions. This study aimed to analyze the diversity and community structure of soil nematodes in rice fields planted with Membramo and Inpari-32 varieties as indicators of soil quality and ecosystem stability, as well as to identify the presence of plant-parasitic nematodes. The research was conducted from September to November 2025 using a quantitative descriptive method, which included soil sampling, nematode extraction, and identification to the genus level. The results showed that soil nematodes from various genera belonging to different trophic groups were found in both rice fields, including bacterivores, fungivores, omnivores, predators, and plant-parasitic nematodes. Differences in the number of individuals and genus composition were observed between the Membramo and Inpari-32 rice fields. The nematode diversity index (H’) in both fields was categorized as low, indicating limited diversity and relatively similar abundance patterns. The Plant Parasitic Index (PPI) reflected differences in parasitic pressure between the two rice varieties, while the Maturity Index (MI) indicated soil ecosystems experiencing moderate levels of disturbance. The booklet developed based on the research results obtained a validation score of 92%, which was categorized as very feasible for use as an educational and informational medium.
