Pengembangan E-LKPD Berbasis Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Siswa SMP

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low problem-solving skills of junior high school students in science learning due to a lack of innovation and variety in learning media. The purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical, and effective ELKPD learning media based on Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) to improve the problem-solving skills of junior high school students. The design used in this study was research and development with the ADDIE model, which includes analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The research subjects were 32 eighthgrade students at SMP Negeri 4 Tanggul. Data in this study were collected using validation sheets, observations of learning activities, student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. The results showed that the SSI-based E-LKPD obtained a validity of 92.8% on average, categorized as highly valid. The practicality of using the SSI-based E-LKPD obtained an average of 93.75%, categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness test showed an n-gain score of 0.66, categorized as moderate. Student responses regarding the use of SSI-based ELKPD obtained an average of 88.7% in the very good category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed SSI-based E-LKPD is valid, practical, and effective in improving the problem-solving skills of junior high school students.
