Pengaruh Pengelolaan Uang Saku dan Pemahaman Dasar Ekonomi Terhadap Rasionalitas Perilaku Konsumsi Siswa (Studi Kasus Siswa Kelas X SMA Katolik Santo Paulus Jember)

Abstract

In everyday life, humans always carry out economic activities to fulfill their needs which are not balanced with resources, so they are required to behave rationally in economic activities, especially consumption. This research was conducted to determine how well students' ability to manage pocket money and their understanding of basic understanding of economics, as well as the magnitude of the partial and simultaneous influence of managing pocket money and basic understanding of economics on the rationality of consumption behavior of class X students at Santo Paulus Catholic High School Jember. This research uses an inferential quantitative approach. The number of students in this research sample was 50 students who met the specified criteria. Data was obtained through questionnaires and interviews. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of this research show 1) Pocket money management influences the rationality of consumption behavior of class X SMAK Santo Paulus Jember students. 2) Basic understanding of economics influences the rationality of consumption behavior of class X SMAK Santo Paulus Jember students. 3) Managing pocket money and understanding basic economics simultaneously influence the rationality of consumption behavior of class X SMAK Santo Paulus Jember students. Rationality in managing pocket money and understanding economics are important for students, helping them avoid unnecessary expenses and build healthy financial habits. Pocket money management and basic understanding of economics shape a generation of young people who are financially intelligent and responsible.
