Abstract
The results of life cycle cost research from outside Indonesia show that the ability
to influence costs decreases continuously as the project progresses, from 100%
when the project is approved to 20% or less when construction begins. While in
Indonesia there are separate regulations related to the life cycle of buildings. This
study will analyze the Life Cycle Cost of the UKM University of Jember Building
by referring to the applicable Indonesian government regulations. The total LCC
cost of the UKM University of Jember Building was Rp11,643,175,025.64. There is
a significant difference between the percentage of LCC costs of building
construction projects in Indonesia and outside Indonesia. The percentage of costs
in building construction projects in Indonesia tends to be greater in the early stages
of LCC, namely at the construction stage of 66.25%, while the percentage of
building operation and maintenance costs is smaller than the percentage of
construction costs. In building construction projects outside Indonesia, the largest
percentage of LCC costs is in the building operation and maintenance stage of
60.3%, while the percentage of building construction costs is smaller than the
percentage of operation and maintenance costs. The effect of costs on building
construction projects in Indonesia and outside Indonesia is not significantly
different.
