Abstract

The problems often experienced by students, especially Economics Education students at the University of Jember, are usually related to financial management. This generally indicates that students' financial capabilities are fairly good, although they have not yet reached an optimal level, as many Economics Education students have not yet implemented financial management practices on a regular basis, despite having been equipped with basic knowledge of financial concepts. It is hoped that they will not only understand the theory but also be able to apply it in their daily lives. This study is a quantitative research. The location of the study is the University of Jember. Data analysis in this study used SmartPLS software. Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data. The population of the study consisted of 376 Economics Education students, with a sample size of 194 respondents. significant effect on financial management. The results of testing the first and second hypotheses show that the higher the attitude and financial literacy of students, the higher their behavioral intention in managing their finances. The third hypothesis shows that as students' financial literacy increases, their financial management behavior also increases. The fourth hypothesis shows that students with high behavioral intentions also exhibit increased financial management behavior. The fifth and sixth hypotheses indicate that behavioral intentions can positively and significantly mediate the relationship between attitudes and financial literacy toward financial management behavior.
