Abstract
This study aim to developed an interactive PhET simulation-based Student
Worksheet (LKPD) to remediate misconceptions on linear equations material,
which is a common challenge for grade VIII students. This research used the
ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design,
development, implementation, and evaluation. The observation at SMPN 1 Gucialit,
showed that many students have difficulty in understanding gradients and graphical
representations of linear equations. The instruments in this study included
validation sheets, test questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The
implementation involved VIII grade student, included pretest, use of LKPD, and
posttest. The data collection methods were questionnaires and tests. The results
showed that the developed LKPD achieved a validity score of 3.67 (valid category),
a practicality score of 3.65 (very practical category), and significant effectiveness
based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test p < 0.05(there is a
significant difference between pretest and posttest). In conclusion, the interactive
LKPD based on PhET simulation proved to be valid, practical, and effective to
overcome misconceptions on linear equations material. This LKPD is
recommended to be widely used and as a reference for developing other interactive
LKPDs
