dc.description.abstractNowdays, The national sugar cane is faced with the situation of the production of sugar that has not been suffi cient to meet national sugar needs. Management of The sugar industry is an industry built on a long-term vision. The sugar industry performance management component consists of two subjects, namely the production of sugar cane raw materials and the processing of sugar cane into sugar. The performance of the national sugar industry cannot be separated from the situation and conditions of the sugar industry in East Java. The aims of this study are (1) to know the structure of the supply chain of sugarcane in PTPN X; (2) analyzing the performance of the sugarcane supply chain in PTPN X; (3) synthesize efforts that can be done to improve the performance of the sugarcane supply chain in PTPN X. This research is a descriptive study. The object of the research was determined purposively, namely the work area of the PTPN X sugar factory in Kediri, East Java. The sample of the research was sugar cane farmers represented by the Association of People’s Sugarcane Farmers (APTR) and three Sugar Factories namely the sugar factory Gempol Krep, the sugar factory of the Pesantren Baru and the sugar factory Ngadirejo. The results of the study concluded that in the PTPN X working area, there is a structure of sugarcane supply chains that have not been effective and effi cient. Sugarcane supply chain performance tends fl uctuate or unstable. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the performance of the sugarcane supply chain, among others through improving the management of farmers’ farming, mechanization of the transport cutting staff, and the integration policy of the sugar industry management. The policy implication of the results of this study is that the core supply chain management is the relationship of several actors in the agribusiness chain to effi cient and productive management.en_US
