dc.description.abstractBackground: Candidiasis was a fungal infection of the oral mucosa. The infections caused by Candida albicans included pseudomembranous candidiasis, atrophic candidiasis, hyperplastic candidiasis, candidiasis eritematousa, and angular cheilitis. The main etiology of these lesions largely caused by the fungus Candida albicans were commensal but could become pathogenic because some predisposing factors. Fissure tongue was an anomaly due to abnormal growth or development. Objective: To identify Oral Candidiasis which triggered by non factors and the aging process and its management. Case Overview: Man, 67 years old, 149 cm height, 42 kg weight was attending with her tongue felt thick, uncomfortable and sore when used to eat. The patient feels very sore tongue when used to eating food spicy. These complaints occurred approximately from one week ago. Patients had never experienced a situation like this (tongue hurt). Patients do not know the cause sore tongue and thick. Patients never had treated the complaint. Patients had the habit of smoking cigarettes own concoction. Within a day the patient smokes approximately 1 ounce of tobacco. Conclusion: The final diagnosis was acute pseudomembranous candidiasis at the dorsum and fissure tongue on the ventral of tongue.en_US
