dc.description.abstractThe main learning problem of South West Asia History subject is a wide scope of the materials. This condition stimulated a lecturer to find the appropriate method to learn the materials. A panel discussion which was applied in the previous lecturing method did not gain a satisfactory achievement. Panel discussion tended to make students passive, while the lecturer, presenter and panellists tended to be more dominant. Jigsaw is one of the cooperative learning techniques chosen to solve the identified problems. This study was designed as a classroom action research (CAR). The results of the study revealed that Jigsaw could improve the students' achievement significantly.en_US
