dc.description.abstract | Background: Force decay elastomeric chain can be caused by evironmental
factors at in the oral cavity, such as temperature, pH, saliva and mastication. Objective: To
know how much force is lost on elastomeric chain due to immersion in tea beverage
packaging. Method: Sample consisted of two groups, they are control group using artificial
saliva and the treatment group using artificial saliva then added to the tea beverage. The
treatment groups were immersed in the solutions three times a day for 5 minutes every 24
hours. Force (gF) was measured with Autograph Machine, initially (0 hours), 0.5 hours, 1.5
hours, 3.5 hours, 7.5 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours. Result and Conclusion: The result showed
significant different between the groups of artificial saliva and artificial saliva group the
added to tea beverages. The conclusion from this research showed that elastomeric chain
soaked in tea beverages packaging group loss of force from elastomeric chain sevenfold
from initially force during 24 hours. | en_US |
