Background: The dental health problem needs special attention is higher prevalence of dental caries. Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of acidogenic bacteria that it takes role on the growth of caries. The extract of white frangipani leaf had been proven having antibacterial effects against some bacteria. However, the research about antibacterial effects of white frangipani leaf against L. acidophilus hasn't yet been conducted. Objective: to determine the antibacterial activity and minimum inhibition concentration of white frangipani leaf extract to suppress L. acidophilus growth. Materials and Methods: The method used well diffusion. The inhibition zone around the well showed antibacterial activity. Total research samples were 8 samples which were divided into 6 treated groups. They were P50, P25, P12.5, P6.25, positive control, and negative control. Result and Conclusion: White frangipani leaf extract concentration 50%, 25%, and 12.5% have antibacterial activity against L. acidophilus, whereas 6,25 % concentration does not have antibacterial activityen_US
