Fixed partial denture can use FRC (Fiber Reinforced Composite) as an alternative material in its manufacturing. Composite resins are used to restore teeth’s form and function with aesthetic quality as well as material's ability to bind with tooth's structure. The strength of composite resin can be increased by fiber's layer addition. Unidirectional arrangement of polyethylene fiber is commonly used in dentistry due to stiffness and high flexural strength. The strength of FRC can be affected by fiber's layer amount. Objective: To determine flexural strength of microhybrid composite with polyethylene fiber’s layer addition. Methods: This study was an experimental laboratory research. Samples were divided into control group (microhybrid composite without fiber) and 3 treatment groups that was microhybrid composite with a layer of fiber, two layers of fiber, and three layers of fiber. Samples were tested using universal testing machine to determine flexural strength (MPa). Results and Conclusion: Results showed the increase of flexural strength on treatment group 2 and 3 compared to control group and treatment group 1. It can be concluded that polyethylene fiber's layer addition can increase flexural strength of microhybrid composite resin. Two and three-layer polyethylene fiber addition can increase flexural strength of microhybrid composite resin.en_US
