dc.description.abstract | Development is a progressive aspect of adaptation to the environment which is
qualitative in nature. Qualitative adjustment is the improvement of the functional
capacity of mastery over several smaller skill levels. The children’s development level is
observable through measurement on four developmental aspects namely socialpersonal,
soft motor, hard motor, and language. Each developmental aspect
encompasses several different developmental tasks according to the children’s age. The
objective of this research was to analyze the difference of the development level of the
the 6-12 month old babies who were given exclusive breastfeed from the ones who were
not given exclusive breastfeed at the coverage area of Klatakan Local Health Center
Tanggul Sub-District Jember Regency. This research employed analytical observation
design. The sampling collection was conducted using the probability sampling and
simple random sampling approaches. The population of this research was divided into
two different groups, namely the group of babies aged 6-12 months who were given
exclusive breastfeed and the group of babies aged 6-12 months who were not given
exclusive breastfeed the coverage area of Klatakan Local Health Center Tanggul SubDistrict
Jember Regency, with total population numbering 221 babies. Based on the
research result, when tested using the Chi Square Test with alpha 95%, the p value of
the difference of the development level of the the 6-12 month old babies who were given
exclusive breastfeed from the ones who were not given exclusive breastfeed at the
coverage area of Klatakan Local Health Center Tanggul Sub-District Jember Regency
was 0.000, respectively. | en_US |
