MULTIKULTURALISME DAN PENDIDIKAN MULTIKULTURAL
Abstract
Numerious studies have documented the importance of the multicultural education as subject in the social studies curriculum. The article goal is to describe applied possibility of multiculturalism perspective through multiculcural education in Indonesia. This analysis views three perspectives on multicultural education, namely, 1) cultural assimilation perspective; 2) cultural pluralism perspective; and 3) cultural synthesis perspective. The studies show that, the available perspective applied in Indonesia is the cultural synthesis perspective that started by providing its content through the learning process in all subjects matter. But it is depend on teachers capabilities.
