Abstract
The implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum elicited several responses from various teachers, especially science teachers, because many teachers still do not understand about the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum so based on these problems researchers are interested in knowing the perceptions of science teachers towards the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. Therefore, the focus of the research is how science teachers perceive the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMP Negeri 01 Puger? The sub-focus used is the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, perceptions of science teachers, obstacles to the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum and solutions that can be applied. This research is qualitative research. The data sources were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation with the research subjects being the principal of SMP Negeri 01 Puger, 3 science subject teachers, and 1 vice principal for curriculum. Based on data analysis using the analysis technique of Miles and Huberman (1992), conclusions related to the perception of science teachers on the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum at SMP Negeri 01 Puger are perceptions, obstacles, and solutions. The perception obtained is a positive perception and the concept of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum has received good appreciation. The obstacles obtained are inadequate facilities and infrastructure and knowledge about the Merdeka Belajar curriculum is still lacking so that the implementation carried out by teachers has not been optimal. The solution obtained is to complete the facilities and infrastructure needed and teachers do independent learning through the media provided.
