Abstract

Nyai Dasima is a novel telling about woman image through the representation of the main character – Nyai Dasima. She possesses woman ideal image as beauty, well-manner, modesty and care, therefore she attracts people’s attention. She is not only physically beautiful but also morally good. The value that can be taken pragmatically from her positive character is that a woman must present everything for herself and not for what men want. She must also be strong; as a result she is not dominated by men
