| dc.description.abstract | The different opinions concerning bone tissue reaction against force (strains) found on orthodontic and orthopedic literature. Force orthodonti can produce pressure and tension area on the alveolar bone. Orthodontic was looking that the resorption occurring in the pressure side and the apposition in the tension side. On the other hand, orthopedic was looked that the apposition accured in the pressure side and the resorption in the tension side. The question is “why orthodontis connecting force (strains) in the pressure side with bone resorption, while orthopedis connecting it with the apposition side?” The review would be discuss about the adaptive respon of alveolar bone on the orthodontic force. | en_US |
