The side effect of composite resin used in oral hygiene has been reported. The problem of this study is whether unpolymerized composite resin could induce the reaction of mice buccal mucous. The clinical symptom often occurred is increasing of oral inflammatory which has characteristic the number of limphocite cell altered. Releasing of residual composite resin monomer cause oral tissue toxicity. The aim of this study is to know the effect of unpolymerized visible light cured composite resin toward the number of limphocite cell in buccal mucous using in vivo method. This experiment used 16 mices. They were divided into 4 groups. After anaesthetized with ether, mices in control group were exposed olive oil in lower molar left side buccal mucous about 1 minute. Then, group I exposed 0.5% olive oil mixed unpolymerized composite resin about 1 minute at the same site as control group. Group II exposed 1% olive oil mixed unpolymerized composite resin about 1 minute at the same site as control group. Group III exposed 1.5% olive oil mixed unpolymerized composite resin about 1 minute at the same site as control group. The result the study suggest than unpolymerized composite resin exposed increased the number of limphocite in mice buccal mucousen_US
