This research was held to study the content of Si, Mn, K, and Ca nutrients and polyphenol, tanin, lignin and cellulose compounds in cocoa tree tissues of the resistant and the susceptible clones. A new resistant clone can be identified faster by defensive parameter that built natural resitance. This study was conducted from August 2007 to September 2008. This samples were collected from cocoa plantation in South Sulawesi and Jember (East Java) Indonesia. The resistant clones are: Ard-Aciar 10 and KW 514 compare to the susceptuble: ICS 60, KW 162, TSH 858, and KW 165: The status of nutrents and chemical compound were analized by Faculty of Agricultural Technology of Jember University and Faculty of Agriculture of Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Silicon cintent of cocoa tree tissue in leaf was the highest for all clones. In the resistant clines, the content of Si, polyphenol, tanin, and lignin were higher than susceptible clones, however, cellulose content of susceptible clones was higher than resistant clones. Ca and K content were no diferent between susceptible and resistant clones.en_US
