dc.description.abstractThe use of pesticides and fertilizer will affects the quality of water river through discharges from agricultural land entiring the body water. The aim of research was to describe the respondens characteristics, identifying the implementation of pesticide and fertilizer by farmer and analyzing the content of pesticide residues and nitrate in the watershed in Porolinggo, Sumbergondo Village, Glenmore Sub distric, Banyuwangi Regency. Descriptive method was used to do this research and using cross-sectional design. The number of sample in this study were 62 member of farmers were taken by simple random sampling technique. The collecting data in this study was used questionnaires and interview technique by observation. The analysis to the characteristic of respondents, the implementation of pesticide and fertilizer, and residue contents in the river. The results show that the implementation of pesticide by respondents are without reading the label, washing tools, and throwing the container on the river. The implementation of ferlitizer is done without read the instruction of dosage. The residue of pesticide is negative and nitrat contens is low. The implementation of pesticide and fertilizer need an improved by the goverment and hopefully this study is useful as reference for futher research.en_US
