dc.description.abstract | The aims of research were to find: (1) the soybean variety having the best vegetative
and generative growth. (2) drought stress treatment having the best effect on the best
vegetative and generative growth. (3) interaction between varieties and drought stress
treatment. The research had been undertaken in August to Nopember 2012 by using
Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The varieties were: galunggung,
leuser, willis and lokon. The drought stresses were C0, C1, C2 and C3. The result showed that
there was no interaction between varieties and drought stress on the vegetative growth
stage. Drought stress treatment (C3) affected significantly on root dry weight and shoot ratio
and number of root nodules. Drought stress treatment (C3) also significantly affected on
plant high, plant dry weight, relatively growth rate and stress index. The drought stress
treatment had significant effect on C2 treatment level. Leuser was the variety having the
highest growth among the other varieties. Interaction between V factor and C factor had
significant effect on number of productive branch with the best result was V4C1 combination.
Variety affected generative growth, especially leuser (V2) having the best result compared
with the other varieties particularly on number of productive branch, number of pods, number
of pod fertile, total seed weight, number of seed per plant, total of dry weight and harvest
index. | en_US |
