dc.description.abstractThis research aims to know the type of social capital that is exist in coffee plantations PDP Kaliklepuh / Kahyangan of Pasang mount at Kemiri village of Panti Subdistrict in Jember. After the social capital is known, the social capital that is exist in the plantation develope through entrepreneurship. Existing social capital in coffee plantations PDP Kaliklepuh will be seen to the greatest potency to be optimized through the social capital with the purpose for the welfare of poor people in the plantation. Existing social capital on the coffee plantations PDP Kaliklepuh had 7 potentials that can be optimized for public welfare of coffee plantations. They are: 1. Cooperation of Sumber Bahagia, 2. Social gathering is held on the estate, 3. the house of the estate, 4. Friday Manis, 5. Mothers Society PKK, 6. Salvation of the end of December, 7. Pillars of Death. From the seven potential of social capital in the coffee plantations can be developed through entrepreneurship. The development is through community empowerment. The entrepreneurship development is coffee leather processing and leather processing into compost coffee into organic fertilizer. Methods of data collection in this research use the method of documents, observation, interviews and discussions focused Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This research uses a qualitative approach and included short arguments (reasoning) on a qualitative approach. It also reveals the theoretical orientation, the foundation of thinking to understand the meaning of a phenomenon / phenomena or reality of existing in coffee plantations Panti Jember. The analysis is done by conducting interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) to know the type of social capital, and the role of social capital development through entrepreneurship can improve the welfare of the people working in coffee plantations Panti Jember Regional Plantation Company garden kahyangan of pasang mount.en_US
