dc.description.abstract | This research is intended for identifying (1) the role of the community
agencies in developing the medicinal plants, (2) the attempts of empowering the
farmers in developing the medicinal plants, (3) the strategies of developing the
medicinal plants at Curahnongko Village, Resort Andongrejo Meru Betiri
National Park. This method of used descriptive, analytical, and qualitative
methods. The key informants are taken purposively from the TNMB, KAIL,
SPKP, Jaketresi, KETANMERAH. This data collection method used primary and
secondary data. The data collection which is intended for finding out the field
strength, is performed using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. This
research uses the descriptive qualitative with the Miles and Huberman models of
data analysis and the field strength analysis as the method of analysis.
The results of this research reveal that (1) the role of the community
agencies in developing the medicinal plants is observable through the roles
implemented by the community agencies to farmers. The role wich implemented
are counseling and training sessions, seed support and, the arrangement of new
groups of farmers (2) the attempt of empowering the society is performed through
backing up the farmers, putting the farmers to participate into the programs
implemented by the community agencies, arranging the farmers’ groups and
family medicinal plants’ groups, (3) the strategies to implements are following the
counseling and training sessions and doing market share partnership by farmers’
group. Marketing in group will be easier to do partnership with process herbals
partners or another partners outside Curahnongko Village. | en_US |
