PERAN PEER GROUP TERHADAP PERILAKU MENGKONSUMSI MINUMAN BERALKOHOL PADA PELAJAR SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS (SMA) DI KECAMATAN KALIANGET KABUPATEN SUMENEP

Abstract

Kalianget Subdistrict in Sumenep Regency is a susceptible place for Senior High School students to consume alcoholic beverage. It is caused Kalianget Subdistrict has a harbor that was susceptible of smugling of alcoholic beverage and the place is often visited by students to consume alcoholic beverage with their peer group every days. Peer group establishment has two social class; they are the in group and the out group. This research aimed to know peer group’s contribution on alcoholic beverage consumption on Senior High School students in Kalianget Subdistrict Sumenep Regency. This research was descriptive research with qualitative approached. Informants were defined by snowball sampling technique. The results of this research show that the in group contributes to create alcoholic beverage consumption on first informant. The out group does not contribute to create alcoholic beverage consumption, but first informant contributes on the out group to consume alcoholic beverage. The inharmonic family and illegally alcoholic beverage sale in Kalianget Subdistrict contribute on main informant to consume alcoholic beverage. Advice for social department is encourage to make change in behavior in group by group chairman approach, for parents that being in group to kids, for the government that make the regulation of the distribution of alcoholic beverages, for school that is underscor the rules and conducting flanking for students have been shown to consume of alcoholic beverages.
