A technique of determining the size of the capacitor and a dummy loadfor microhydroelectric power generation system that uses inductionmachine as a generator is done by creating a model of the componentsand systems, loading scenario, and setting the system parameters inorder to obtain the optimum size of the capacitor and the dummy loadsimultaneously. Thesimulation results can already provide informationabout the size of all these components and simultaneously inform thelimits of the maximum active power that can be generated by thegenerator. In this paper the loading scenario is pure resistiveloading so it is not confirmed whether the method can also be used todetermine the size of the components of a system in which there areinductive loads.en_US
