Exploring Efl Teachers’ Experiences of Implementing The Emancipated Curriculum

Abstract

The curriculum is an important component for running teaching and learning activities. Along with the times, the curriculum used in education also develops. Indonesia has experienced several curriculum changes. In 2020 the world experienced a pandemic called COVID-19. Hence, learning that is usually done at school has also changed to online learning, and the Ministry of Education has also implemented an emergency curriculum. As stated by Sanjaya and Rastini (2020), the emergency curriculum was created by simplifying basic competencies for each subject. With the implementation of the COVID emergency curriculum, the government implemented the new curriculum as the emancipated curriculum.
