dc.description.abstract | Fisheries and marine resource-rich of Indonesia capable of producing
abundant economic potential, but have not been able to increase significantly the
economy of the perpetrators. Fishermen in Indonesia have not been economically
and politically powerless. Fishermen economic organizations is not solid,
fishermen are still bound by traditional ties with the middlemen, and there are no
institution that can guarantee the life patron of fishermen than client institutions.
In the period 2004 - 2006 the number of fishermen has decreased by 17, 32
percent. The decline occurred mainly during the period of 2005 due to rising fuel
prices. The government provide solutions to implement the Economic
Empowerment program that supported the existence of Coastal Fishermen's
Cooperative and proved to absorb labor in the fishing sector reached 169 521
inhabitants.
This study purpose is to determine the effect of fish production volume,
number of members, external capital and the number of users of credit for the
acquisition of Fishermen Cooperative Mina SHU Banyuwangi. This study use
primary and secondary data in 2000 - 2009 and analyzed using Regression
