PENGARUH PENGETAHUAN IBU DAN PERAN PENDAMPING PKH TERHADAP PARTISIPASI BALITA PESERTA PROGRAM KELUARGA HARAPAN (PKH) KE POSYANDU

Abstract

Participation of the children under five to posyandu in Jember regency in 2011 was still below the target range of 85%. The low participation of children under five to posyandu in Jember regency does not affect the low participation of children under five to posyandu in the Banjarsengon village , where children under five PKH participants also took part in increasing the participation of children under five to posyandu in that region. The high participation of children under five to posyandu PKH participants can be influenced by several factors including knowledge of the mother and the role of PKH companion. This study is a quantitative analytical research with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study are as many as 23 respondents. Data were analyzed using Logistic Regression test with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there is effect between the knowledge of mother of the children under five PKH participants to the participation of children under five PKH participants to posyandu (p = 0.043). There is effect of the PKH companion role to the participation of children under five PKH participants to posyandu (p = 0.044). The factor that is more influential on the participation of children under five PKH participants to posyandu is the knowledge of mother with the Exp (B) = 5.250. Therefore, the knowledge of mother and the role of PKH companion needs to be improved in order to increase the participation of children under five PKH participants to posyandu. Department of Social Welfare Jember should make efforts to expand the number of recipients of PKH and PKH RTSM receiver so can increase the participation of children under five to posyandu and to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality in Jember.
