dc.description.abstractJember economic growth in 2011 stood at 7 percent. It was influenced by the growth of each sector of the economy that continues to increase every year. Economic sectors that contribute most is the agricultural sector. The agricultural sector is still a sector basis in Jember. However, sectoral growth continues to decline. Most sectoral growth contributes to economic growth Jember is trade, hotels and restaurants. Growth rate reached 10.66 percent. Of these problems shift leading economic sector which was originally the primary sector to the tertiary sector. The purpose of this study is to determine what are the sectors that have a comparative advantage in Jember by using the Location Quotient analysis to determine the economic sector seed used shift shift share analysis and Esteban Classical Marquillas and to determine the average change rate LQ, SS-classical and SS-EM using trend analysis. With a GDP of data and Jember in East Java province nine years 2000-2011 economic sector classification obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. From the analysis of Location Quotient (LQ) found that the sector is a sector that is agriculture base consisting of food crops, plantation crops, livestock sector and sub-sector results and forestry; mining sector, which consists of subexcavation; finance, leasing and business services sub-sector comprising banks and affected services sector general government sub-sectors, sub-sectors and subsectors social entertainment and recreation. Based on the classic shift share analysis, an increase in GDP of Jember is influenced by three factors: Regional Share the impact of economic growth in East Java that positively impact the growth of 11.8 billion dollars. Proportional Shift the industry mix effect gives a negative growth for the Jember 1.43 billion dollars. While the Shift Differential effects of competitive advantages provide a positive growth effect of 2.28 billion dollars. With the shift share analysis raises Esteban Marquillas four components namely Alocation Effect economies, the impact of the allocation in Jember negative growth impact 9.44 billion dollars. Besides the shift share analysis can also detect Esteban Marquillas sector with a competitive advantage and specialization. The sectors that have competitive advantage and specialization are agriculture, manufacturing and services sector. LQ trend analysis results, the sector experienced a positive trend or an increase was agriculture, manufacturing, electricity, gas and water supply, construction and trade, hotels and restaurants. Trend-classical SS and SS-EM is a trend that is positive regional share component.en_US
