The study has been conducted in Green House from November 2007 to April 2008. The objective was to identify of primary hosts, water availability in entisol and vertisol, as well as suited combination treatment for sandalwood seedling growth. A Completely Randomited Design in factorial treatment of 2x3x2 was appliced. Combination of host factors (pea and morings), water availability (pF 1.8-2.0, pF 2.5-2.7, and pF 3.2-3.4), soil (Entisol and Vertisol) has been used as experimental treatment. Evaporation has been determined using sling pan and empirinical method of Hargreaves. Result of the experiment showed the use of morings as sandalwood seedling primary hosts growth seedling better, as well as the water tension of pF 1.8-2.0. The combination of pea hosts in vertisol with water tension of 1.8-2.0 and morings in entisol at pF 3.2-3.4 improved the growth of sandalwood seedling. Crop Coefficient (Kc) of the seedling with pea in vertisol pF 1.8-2.0 varies between 1.95 – 5.42, though with morings in entisol pF 3.2-3.4 was 1.30-3.22. The water consumtion lied between 28.47- 211.92 mm depends on the treatment.en_US
