dc.description.abstractThe purpose of biosensor development is for polyphenols detection in beverage tea products especially green tea product easily and efficiently. The polyphenol biosensor has been made by immobilizing 5.0 µ l reagent (500 unit/ml PPO enzyme and 12.0 mg/ml MBTH (1:1 v/v) is mixture) on whatman filter paper. Polyphenol biosensor has been characterized and the results are polyphenol biosensor has response time about 13-18 minutes, has linearity at concentration range of 25-300 ppm, with correlation coefficient (r) =0.997. This polyphenol biosensor has sensitivity about 0.1078/ppm CE, while LOD = 20.601 ppm CE and LOQ = 68.671 ppm CE. Interference or selectivity of the polyphenol biosensor by catechin and vitamin C concentration ratio of 1:3,33 is 6.117% . Biosensor precision parameter comply with RSD 3.111% and the accuracy parameter with recovery about 103.068 %. Biosensor self-live is 8 days when strored on freezer [(-20)-(0) ºC]. This polyphenol biosensor has been applied to some beverage green tea product and this method is as good as Folin-Ciocalteu.en_US
