Abstract

This study of pragmatic under standing is approached from a frame work based on politeness principle The nature of this study is statistical, descriptive, and interpretative. Qualitative and quantitative are employed in this research. Qualitative research used is to describe the data in the form of extract conversation and quantitative research is used to know the presentage of the results. The findings of this thesis exposes that Adam has applied almost all face threatening act strategies but of frecord in this movie. There fore, the prominent weakness Adam has is social interaction and emotional abilities.
