dc.description.abstract | Work related musculoskeletal disorders is a disorders on the part of the skeletal
muscle is felt by a person starts from very mild to very complaint the pain caused by
the work environment and implementation of the work. Musculoskeletal disorders are
aggravated by the conditions of employment. Awkward working posture can cause
musculoskeletal disorders. Based on the data from PT. X polyclinic in 2011 there
were approximately 97 workers state have musculoskeletal disorders. In January
2012 recorded 15 visits, 10 visits in February and 12 visits in March. The aim of this
study was to analyze the relationship of individual characteristic and working posture
wit h work related musculoskeletal disorders for the workers finishing unit PT. X. This
is cross sectional study. The population was all production unit workers. The sample
of this study are 51 respondents to the cluster random sampling technique. The data
was collected using Nordic Body Map questionnaires and observation. Data analysis
using statistical tests the association of lambda. The results showed that there is
significant association between age (ρ=0,009), sex (ρ=0,000), job tenure (ρ=0,019),
habitual smoking (ρ=0,008), body mass index (ρ=0,008), working posture (ρ 0,001)
wit h work related musculoskeletal disorders but there is no association between
exercise habits (ρ=0,739) and work related musculoskeletal disorders. It is expected
that PT. X more attention to the hazards around the workplace and providing
training or socialization to workers so that workers are more aware of workplace
hazards especially musculoskeletal disorders. | en_US |
