| dc.description.abstract | Occupational accidents is an unexpected occurrence and is not expected. Unexpected
because it was done unintentionally, especially in the form of hazardous conditions
planning, which is an unsafe condition. Harmful acts (unsafe action) is harmful
actions of humans. Moreover in the form of planning is not expected because
accident is accompanied by material losses or suffering from the mildest to the most
severe. Occupational safety is the primary means for the prevention of occupational
accidents, disability and death as a result of occupational accidents. Type of research
used in this study was a descriptive research with qualitative approach. Descriptive
research was a study conducted to describe or illustrate a phenomenon that occurs in
society. The object of this study was the plywood and wood working employees of PT
Kutai Timber Probolinggo Indonesia, qualitative data in this study were analyzed by
the method of thematic conten analysis (analysis based on the theme), a method that
attempts to identify, analyze existing patterns based on the data collected. Risk
management implementation strategies really are needed to achieve and maintain
excellence in an organization, a variety of approaches is often done in dealing with
risk within the organization or company, for example: Hazard risk identification,
systematic effort to detect hazards in the organization activities. Hazard
identification is not possible to manage risk well. By observing we have done the risk
management well. Risk assessment, an effort to calculate the amount of risks and
determine whether risks are acceptable or not. Risk assessment includes two stages of
process that is to analyzee the risks and evaluate risk. The second stage is important
because it will determine the strategies of risk control and Risk control, if the
previous stages are more concepts and planning at this stage it is a realization of the
company's risk management efforts. Risk Control of the company should plan the
management and control the activities of products and services that may cause a high
