| dc.description.abstract | This research titled “Labor Absorption in Small Industry in Karawang
Regency 2000 – 2006”, has a purpose to know how big the ability of small industry
with its role to the labor absorption in Karawang Regency 2000 – 2006.
The type of the research is descriptive, that is the research which find out a
truly explanation of one data or more without trying to find out the relation pattern.
The used method in this research is secondary data obtained from BPS, Disnaker,
Disperindag of Karawang Regency. The analysis method to know the labor
absorption level is through work opportunity elasticity. The analysis to know the rate
of production output value growth and rate of labor growth it is used measure mean
model as the growth gauge.
The result of the research shows that the labor development in small industry
sector in Karawang Regency has experienced a fluctuation growth in ever year. The
growth of labor absorption which happened in 2000 / 2001 is a big as 0,48% and in
2005 / 2006 is a big as 39,89%. Production value growth in 2000 / 2001 is as big as
3,12% and in 2005 / 2006 is as big as 0,15%. Labor absorption elasticity in small
industry in Karawang Regency which was happened in 2000 / 2001 is as big as 0,154
(inelastic) and in 2005 / 2006 is as much as 7,761 (elastic) | en_US |
