dc.description.abstract | Diarrhea is one of infectious diseases and the main cause of morbidity and mortality
of children in developing countries. The nutritional status, measles immunization,
personal hygiene, and house sanitation are a number of factors which are related to
diarrhea. This research aims to analyze the relation of the nutritional status, measles
immunization, personal hygiene, and house sanitation to diarrhea incident. This
research used analytic observational and cross sectional approach. The research was
conducted in the working area of Suboh Public Health Center (Puskesmas), Regency
of Situbondo. Sixty (60) samples were chosen by simple random sampling method.
Data analysis uses the Spearman correlation test and Lambda Statistics L
with
α=0,05. The results of analysis indicate that: 1) there is a relation between the
nutritional status and diarrhea incident (p=0,0001); 2) there is a relation between the
state of measles immunization and diarrhea incident (p=0,015); 3) there is a relation
between the state of personal hygiene and diarrhea incident (p=0,0001); and, 4) there
is a relation between the state of house sanitation and diarrhea incident (p=0,003).
Therefore, suggestions that are proposed include improving the activity of integrated
health service station (posyandu), information of personal hygiene and house
