dc.description.abstract | Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management System based on the Minister of
Manpower Regulation No: PER. 05/MEN/1996 is the part of the overall management
system that includes organizational structure, planning, responsibility,
implementation, procedures, processes, and resources needed for the development,
implementation, achievement, assessment, and maintenance OHS policies in order to
control risk associated with work activities to create workplaces that are safe,
efficient, and productive. Factory III of PT. Petrokimia Gresik has the highest risk of
accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to implement OHS Management System based on
the Minister of Manpower Regulation No: PER. 05/MEN/1996 as an efforts to reduce
the accidents in this factory. This type of research is descriptive research with a
qualitative approach. The data were collected through in-depth interview techniques
to the 9 informants, observation, and documentation. The informants were selected by
using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The data were obtained were
analyzed using thematic content analysis. The results showed that the commitments
and policies, planning, implementation, measurement and evaluation, and review and
improvement by the management of the OHS Management System have been in
accordance to the Minister of Manpower Regulation No: PER. 05/MEN/1996 as an
effort to reduce the accidents in the Factory III of PT. Petrokimia Gresik. Based on
these results, it’s expected that the company increase its attention in the budgeted
facilities provision of OHS, clarify the criteria of impact and risk probability in each
work unit, carry out risk monitoring, set the measurement and monitoring procedures
of industrial psychology, and analyze accidents each year and analyze the increasing
or decreasing of the accidents from year to year. | en_US |
